SMR Double Basses Partners With Moscow Philharmonic
Early in November, we (SMR Doublebasses) played host to Vasily Andreev (Василий Андреев), the Principal Bassist of the Moscow Philharmonic. It was great having a renowned virtuoso (известный виртуоз) spending a week here; he particularly enjoyed playing "Antje," the circa 1800 German 5/8ths bass (see image 19).
We sent him home with some of our T-Shirts, and Voila! SMR Doublebasses meets Globalization... Take a look at our new friends in the Moscow Philharmonic:
